The AHA’s PALS Course has been updated to reflect new science in the 2020 AHA Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

The main goal or objective of the PALS course is to improve the quality of care that is provided to seriously ill or injured children which will then result in improved outcomes.
 

The course content includes:

  • Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • -1 and -2rescuer child CPR and AED use
  • -1 and -2rescuer infant CPR
  • Management of respiratory emergencies
  • Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy
  • Vascular access
  • Resuscitation team concept
  • Cardiac, respiratory and shock case discussions and simulations
  • Systematic Approach to Pediatric Assessment
Successful course completion, including -1 and -2Rescuer Child BLS With AED and -1 and -2Rescuer Infant BLS Skills Tests, 2 PALS core case scenarios, and the open-resource written exam with a minimum score of %84. The participants will receive a PALS completion card, valid for two years.

  • Cancellation of confirmed registration shall require written notification (letter or email) at least one day before the program.
  • Rescheduling for any valid reason shall be considered if requested at least Two weeks before the program.
  • Any cancellation and/or "No show" on the day of the course shall indicate "No Refund and No Rescheduling".
  • If the participant notified LSA officially of cancellation 1 to 7 Days before the program date, 50% of the total fee shall be refunded.
  • Notification of cancellation within more than 8 days before the program date, 75% of the total fee will be refunded.
  • The cancellation of clinical programs which require pre-course materials, if the participants received those materials, then the participants shall bear the cost of those specific materials as per the cost determined by the program.
  • Notification of cancellation for ATLS Courses must be one month before the day of the course.
