This new course is provided by HealthTek Consulting Company.in partnership with Monash University and is Hosted by Life Sciences Academy (LSA) through It is an adaptation of Monash University's evidence-based Women in Leadership Program.

Overview

This program, titled Women in Health Leadership, is a tailored virtual course designed to develop, support, and connect women leaders in the health science field. The curriculum is built on an evidence-based framework that combines self-paced learning, expert-led facilitation, and practical application.

The program aims to empower women leaders by building their capability, confidence, and networks to advance gender equity in leadership. It blends leadership theory with real-world strategies, peer learning, and insights from accomplished leaders.

The structure of the program includes:

● Self-Paced Online Learning: An online module that requires approximately 8 hours to complete prior to Day 1.
● Two Intensive Days: Facilitated online delivery consisting of keynote sessions, interactive workshops, reflective activities, and networking opportunities.

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Monash University Digital Badge and Certificate of Completion.

Objectives

Upon completion of the Women in Health Leadership Program, participants will be able to:

● Understand Leadership Principles: Clarify personal drivers and purpose for leadership and influence, and understand the core principles of leadership.
● Address Gender Barriers: Understand the landscape of gender inequality in Kuwait and internationally, especially in healthcare, and comprehend gender-based barriers and enablers to career progression.
● Develop Strategic Skills: Enhance insight into power and influence in leadership.
● Build Networks: Enhance insight into career advancement strategies, specifically leveraging mentoring and networking.
● Strengthen Self-Awareness: Enhance self-awareness and intentionality in their leadership journey, and identify their current values, personal traits, and virtues.
● Drive Impact: Participate in a dynamic community of women, and begin to think about what change or impact they are looking to achieve in Healthcare.
