Advanced life support in obstetrics ( ALSO® ) in an evidence-based multidisciplinary training course that prepares maternity health care providers to better manage obstetric emergencies. ALSO course bridges knowledge gaps and boosts skill sets using a team-based approach, hands-on training and mnemonics to reduce errors and save lives. The ALSO course combines hands-on simulation training with multidisciplinary team-based approaches to enable better management obstetric emergencies. Small group workstations, minimal lecture time and low faculty-to-participant ratios benefits both learners and course sponsors that seek to provide high quality educational experiences.

Practical, hands-on skill building
Facilitated by ALSO® approved instructors, participants attending an ALSO® course learn approaches to:., the ALSO curriculum further

Manage emergency situations, including postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, and pre-eclampsia
Labor and delivery room emergency care is the main focus of the program
Addresses preventive care and practice concerns, such as:
First-trimester complications
Helping parents cope with a birth crisis
Diagnostic ultrasound

Prerequisite:
An ALSO manual: pre-course reading is essential to be able to participate fully in the course.

Cancellation of confirmed registration shall require written notification (letter or email) at least one day before the program.
Rescheduling for any valid reason shall be considered if requested at least Two weeks before the program.
Any cancellation and/or "No show" on the day of the course shall indicate "No Refund and No Rescheduling".
If the participant notified LSA officially of cancellation 1 to 7 Days before the program date, 50% of the total fee shall be refunded.
Notification of cancellation within more than 8 days before the program date, 75% of the total fee will be refunded.
The cancellation of clinical programs which require pre-course materials, if the participants received those materials, then the participants shall bear the cost of those specific materials as per the cost determined by the program.
Notification of cancellation for ATLS Courses must be one month before the day of the course.
